Radiologic Technology - Degree Program

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Radiologic Technology Program parallels the mission of RSHT. Through various delivery methods, the Program prepares students to apply radiation in a healthcare setting in order to produce diagnostic images using radiographic equipment and imaging systems under the direction of qualified instructors. RSHT’s Associate of Science degree program in Radiologic Technology prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the field. The Radiologic Technology program strives to instill the values and concepts of life-long learning in all graduates.

Program Goals:

The philosophy of the Radiologic Technology Program is to provide a quality educational experience to each individual student. What do Radiologic Technologists do?

· Perform diagnostic imaging examinations

· Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced

· Work closely with patients, doctors, and other health professionals as part of the health care team

· Use medical technology and advanced computer systems to produce and enhance radiographic images
